12th February sees the Gower Society's President, Martin Caton, talk about the different and sometimes conflicting economic, environmental and social pressures impacting upon Gower, consider just what is meant by 'sustainability' and explore how we may achieve it in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Refreshments available. This takes place in Swansea Museum and all are welcome to attend.
Celebrate the Chinese New Year on February 13th at the Brangwyn Hall with Swansea Chinese Community Co-op Centre! 2005 is the year of the Rooster and the programme is packed with exhibitions, cooking demonstrations, delicacies, oriental ornaments, arts and crafts, calligraphy, lion dance, acrobatics, cultural music & dance and much more! 50p from each ticket sold will be donated to the Lord Mayor's Charity Fund and £1 will go to Asian Tsunami Appeal. Welsh Musical Theatre Young Singer of the Year Competition - The Final – takes place on 25 February in the Grand Theatre. An evening with the Dunvant Male Choir and the four finalists in the third exciting annual Welsh Musical Theatre Young Singer of the Year Competition, an event aimed at supporting young singers embarking on careers in musical theatre.
