October’s Handy Hint is “Learn to hit the target directly

One of the most effective methods of getting business is target marketing.  Easy to access specific interest groups can provide not only occupancy but value-added and more weight to your unique selling points.  But beware, make sure you investigate the needs of the specific groups you wish to address and be sure that you can fullfill them effortlessly.  Target groups you may wish to investigate are:

The families market
The singles market
The green market
The pet-owners market
The gay market
The 18-30 market
The backpackers market
The walking market
The vegetarian market

What’s On In November???

Swansea will be celebrating Bonfire Night at St Helen’s Rugby Ground on Friday 5th November with fireworks and lots of family fun.  The highlight of the night is definitely for the ladies as Real Radio provides entertainment in the form of Darius!  Tickets can be purchased from the Grand Theatre.

The end of October brought with it the beginning of the Dylan Thomas Festival which will run until 9th November – this celebrates 50 years since the publication of Under Milk Wood.  Look out for e-mails detailing specific events.

The annual French Market will be coming to Swansea again from Friday 26th November until Sunday 28th November.  You can purchase a whole range of traditional items in Castle Square during this time.

If you are not ready to think of Christmas yet then please skip this section!  Santa’s countdown begins in Swansea on the 21st November with the city’s lights being turned on.  This will take place on the Kingsway and will be sponsored by Real Radio.
