Tourism Roadshows - Giving Wales a Competitive Edge

A series of regional tourism roadshow are going to be held across Wales during February and March. These roadshows will be aimed at you and your business and help you to raise the quality and competitiveness of your business.
The South West Wales Roadshow will be held on Thursday 12th February, 10.30 - 16.30 at Pembrokeshire Watersports Centre, Pembroke Dock.
Through a series of workshops, interactive demonstrations and exhibitions you'll have the chance to see what advice is available on: business development, marketing, eCommerce, environmental issues, training opportunities, legal advice or financial support.

Free Menu Translation

Do you offer your customers a bilingual menu? If the answer is no, why not contact Linkline who offer free menu translations for any eatery who wish to promote themselves bilingually.
This service is offered as part of the Welsh Language Board and the Wales Tourist Board's Table Talk scheme.

Here at Tourism Swansea we like to try and keep costs to a minimum and send as much information to you via email instead of by post. If you are not receiving your newsletters and information from us via email but have the resources to do, please contact the Tourism Swansea office with your email address so we can contact you in a more efficient way.
Also, if any of your contact details have changed in the last 6 months or you have a new telephone number or website address, please contact us so that we can up date our records.



The Business Support Grant - for new and existing businesses

The Business Support Grant is available to SME's in the City and County of Swansea to help with projects to grow their businesses. Backed by European Union Objective 1 funding, grants of up to 35% can be made, with a maximum grant of £5,000.
The grant can help with projects that improve your business, such as expansion, machinery, IT and marketing.
New businesses can use the grant as start up funding, and free advice and guidance is available.
They have supported manufacturers, engineering firms, B&B's, software developers and tourism operators.
EU rules mean that they can't support some businesses (eg retail, or some projects (eg vehicles).

Crime Prevention

A number of members have expressed their concerns to Tourism Swansea over levels of crime in their area. One of the main areas for concern seems to be the Oystermouth Road area. If you or your business is having problems with crime, please let us know. By working together as one voice hopefully we can try to make a difference.
